£15.99 (GBP)

'Second Edition (paperback) by Jo Reeve, 92 pages.
The Ashford Book Of Carding by J. Reeve originally published in 2006: covers carding tools, fibre properties, flick carding, hand carding, drum carding, fibre blending, colour theory, colours and colour blending, sampling (Andean plying), plus projects (self-striping socks, mittens, shawl, and Merino and silk scarf). There are also many colour photos to help you on your way.

Carding has been primarily a part of spinning crafts, however may feltmakers also used carding to prepare their fibre selections for felting.

Sara says: This is great for colour theory and working out how a rolag for spinning can be made. Not forgetting feltmakers, this book will allow you to card batts ready for feltmaking your own unique blends!
