Blue Faced Leicester Fleece 100g

Blue Face Leicester is a wonderful British breed, believed to have come originally from Hexham, Northumberland. The fibre is soft and has a small crimp effect that can give a slight texture to your work. It also has a lovely natural shine, so is wonderful when hand dyed. Great for both spinners and felt makers, I think you will find this fibre wonderful to work with.

 

Count: 23-28 micron/Bradford 56-60

Staple 8 - 15cm*

This fleece is unwashed.

*Fleece special note: The staple length refers to the 'typical' saddle length of this breed, so please be aware that you will receive some staples of shorter lengths if your batch is taken from slightly lower down.  Please note that this will not effect your ability to spin, or felt with this fleece. If you are after a specific length of fibre for doll hair (etc.), please buy my 'measured locks' when they are in stock.
