Scoured fleece is fleece that has been commercially washed and cleaned and pulled apart ready for carding.

It looks like a Jacob fleece but of course much finer. This will spin into a superfine yarn. All you need to do is gently tease out and spin to keep the blocks of colour or tease out, gently card and spin for a more blended effect.

Merino is an ideal quality for both wet or dry needle felting too. Why not try this as either a filler for 3-D sculptures, or as a texture element to your work.
